My kids believe it or not look forward to going to the dentist. Dr. Walker and his staff go above and beyond to ensure that your child has the most positive experience possible. He is very patient and does a great job of taking the time to explain everything to the kids and the parents. I never feel like he is rushing us through. The office itself is also very clean and welcoming to both adults and little ones.

Best kid's dentist around. Dr. Walker is great with my kiddos. He [thoroughly] explains every process to the kids and it helps them feel at ease. The staff is always accommodating, kind and respectful.

We were impressed by how friendly and kind everyone at this practice is. We were able to get a same day appointment in an emergency. Even with having their schedule booked they fit us in and made us feel so welcomed. Dr Walker listened patiently before deciding on the right treatment for my son. Dr. Walker and his staff made our son feel comfortable while treating him! From the time you speak to them on the phone to leaving, you truly feel cared for by all here! We are grateful to have found such an amazing doctor for our kiddos. Thank you, Dr. Walker and Staff!!!

From the moment we entered the waiting area, we had a very positive experience. Friendly greeting, bright and kid friendly areas. It was my [daughter's] first dentist appointment and though she didn't like having her teeth brushed (as is to be expected) she did well with everything else. Dr. Walker took the time to play with her and warm up to her before checking out her mouth. Very good experience overall!

Our family has been coming to Sammamish Pediatric Dentistry for 2 years. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hygienists are great with the kids and fast with cleanings. Dr Walker is great with my kids and puts them at ease.

When we first came here my son was 7 and did not like coming to the dentist. Dr Walker and his staff were really patient and took lots of time with him. They were able to do some necessary dental work and my son now is totally fine coming to the dentist.

Great office! Highly recommended.

Yes! Absolutely recommend! My 6 year old had a tooth with a large cavity that started hurting the day before our vacation. We had never been to see Dr. Walker before but had planned to switch over for our next cleaning. They got us in that day and took care of my child wonderfully the same day. The staff was amazing—everyone was so kind and welcoming. I feel very comfortable bringing my kids to this dentist. Highly Recommend!

FAQ

Questions? We love them.

Here are a few we hear most often. If yours isn’t here, we’re happy to help over the phone.

When should I bring my child for a first check-up?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children visit a pediatric dentist when their first tooth comes in, or no later than their first birthday. If your child hasn’t had a dental visit yet, scheduling one now helps establish a lifetime of healthy habits and gives you a dental home in case there is ever an emergency.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept most insurance plans, including Delta Dental, Premera, Cigna, Assurant, MetLife, United Concordia, Regence/Blue Cross and several others, and we file claims electronically as a courtesy to you. We also accept major credit cards, personal checks and cash. See insurance & payment for details.

What if my child feels nervous about the dentist?

That’s very normal, and our office is built for it. Our beach-themed office is designed to help kids relax, we reserve plenty of time for every visit so no one is rushed, and Dr. Walker explains each step in kid-friendly terms. For children who need extra comfort, we offer nitrous oxide (“happy air”), and oral sedation when appropriate. Here are some tips to help your child feel ready.

Do you see children with special needs?

Yes! Part of Dr. Walker’s training was working with and treating children with special needs.

How long does an appointment take?

Please plan about an hour for each appointment. We reserve quality time with every child so each visit is a positive experience. Our staff will let you know if a specific treatment needs more time.
